Pay attention to your inner dialogue...

Try this exercise.
Take a few minutes to sit down with a piece of paper and a pencil and write down all the things you are aware you are saying to yourself in your head.
They might be things like:
"This is silly"
"I don't have time for this"
"I must look stupid".
"I can never find a pencil in this messy house".
"I will do it later, after I ...."
"I wish I was..."
"I wish I could..."
"I should be ...".
"My mother/father, friend/partner would laugh if they saw me now"..
"I'm sure what I am thinking is nonsense"..
"I could have done that better".
I cannot stress enough how important it is to be aware of our internal voice and dialogue- after all it is the voice we hear the most.
If we can become aware of our patterns and habits we can then choose a different path, a different way to communicate with ourselves.
